Many people have been wondering how to get their blog comments published here and on other blogs. Blog comments can get you traffic and they also help with SEO by providing you back links. This article shows my guidelines for approving comments. I can guarantee you that by sticking to these guidelines you can get your comments published anywhere.
Guidelines for Getting Comments Approved
My guidelines for getting a comment approved are quite strict. First, I want to provide quality content. Second, my blog is dofollow and I am not going to pass link juice to people who make crappy comments. Here are the guidelines:
1. Read the Post first
This should be a given, but for some reason ( Just for the back link ) people comment without reading the post through. By reading the post, you get ideas on what to comment and you avoid the trap of repeating ideas of the actual post.
2. Provide content in your comment
Do not just say a good post. Comment on specific issues and provide real content. I suggest that you write at least a few sentences. Just by writing one sentence your comment will probably not be published.
3. Do not comment anything unrelated
Your comment must be related to the actual blog post. Do not get on a side track when you write your comment.
4. Check the Grammar and Spelling
Read your comment before you post and check for errors in spelling. If there are a lot of errors in grammar or the spelling is poor, you risk getting your comment deleted.
Conclusion
- Provide relevant content with your comment
- Check the spelling before you post

Wow, I can’t believe I’m the first person to comment on this.
These are great tips. A thoughtful comment can really continue the conversation. I love to get comments my blog, because that means someone is reading my stuff and cares enough to interact with me. It’s very motivating. And I like to do the same for others. Because I’m just nice like that.
And because it creates more backlinks. I’ve been reading and commenting on blogs a lot in the last month, and I’ve really noticed the difference.
I wish everyone would read this, because I am so tired of seeing “nice post” on people’s blogs. Grr…
Thanks for the comment. Great to know that there are others that hate the “nice post” commenters. It’s pretty strange that many people publish those types of comments. Maybe it buffs up their ego or something
As a blogger, I would love to see comments that actually add some value to my posts. Even if the comentator doesn’t agree with my content, I would like them to provide alternative views. Much better than short non informative comments.
Thanks for the comment. I feel your thoughts, bringing actual value for the post is the key to get a comment approved…
It would be great if every comment had alternate views. Too often people just agree with the writers poinst and do not have the balls to contradict.
