Thanks for the comment. I feel your thoughts, bringing actual value for the post is the key to get a comment approved...

It would be great if every comment had alternate views. Too often people just agree with the writers poinst and do not have the balls to contradict.

As a blogger, I would love to see comments that actually add some value to my posts. Even if the comentator doesn't agree with my content, I would like them to provide alternative views. Much better than short non informative comments.

Thanks for the comment. Great to know that there are others that hate the "nice post" commenters. It's pretty strange that many people publish those types of comments. Maybe it buffs up their ego or something :)

Wow, I can't believe I'm the first person to comment on this. :) These are great tips. A thoughtful comment can really continue the conversation. I love to get comments my blog, because that means someone is reading my stuff and cares enough to interact with me. It's very motivating. And I like to do the same for others. Because I'm just nice like that. :) And because it creates more backlinks. I've been reading and commenting on blogs a lot in the last month, and I've really noticed the difference.

I wish everyone would read this, because I am so tired of seeing "nice post" on people's blogs. Grr...
